Fall 2020 BETA Showcase: 

Mark your calendars for the Fall 2020 BETA Showcase which takes place virtually on September 16 from 2-5pm!

Showcase is a beloved startup event bringing together founders, investors, tech enthusiasts, and the greater community to learn about emerging companies and make lasting connections.

We’re excited to share this year’s lineup, presented by JPMorgan Chase below: 

  • Bibliate - Andrew Swisher

    Understanding academic research is tough. With Bibliate, research is simplified. Through a mix of automated solutions and subject matter experts, Bibliate’s online platform compresses research into relatable and easily consumable summaries accessible to everyone.

 

  • Corqueboard/BlaqueboardMike Todaro

    Corqueboard/Blaqueboard seeks to democratize community connection and interactive customer engagement for undervalued and underserved communities.



  • Enlight - Dieumerci Christel

    Enlight is a SaaS platform that motivates students to share what makes them unique and empowers educators by surfacing actionable data. Through self-created student profiles and class polls, teachers can quickly build meaningful engagement and create inclusive learning environments online and in the classroom.

 

  • Forever Ware - Natasha Gaffer

    Forever Ware is on a mission to accelerate the world's transition to reusable food packaging. They offer a service to restaurants and grocery stores that replace single-use packaging with a smart fleet of zero-waste alternatives made of stainless steel that customers can checkout using proprietary software and later return to any participating vendor or drop-site throughout the community.

 

  • Hear It UP - Bridget Burnham

    Hear It Up provides more convenient and affordable hearing care by offering custom-fit hearing aids programmed by an audiologist through a process that is completed online or at a kiosk at a local healthcare clinic or pharmacy.

 

  • JockLab - Alijah Nelson

    JockLab is a sports-science company that enhances sports performance and training with the aid of purpose-driven robots. JockLab creates game-like training devices to make training more engaging and maximize athletic potential. 

 

  • Neiibor Crate - Kong Yang

    Neiibor Crate is a grocery delivery service that is direct from farmer or food maker to consumers. Cutting out the middlemen involved in the food supply chain allows for better prices. Transportation, storage and direct to customer delivery is provided, and the model allows for food makers to earn at higher than retail prices for all their products.

 

  • Ovation Group / Culture Booster  - Stephen Moore

    Culture Booster is a web-based employee engagement platform. A one-stop hub for familiar tools like: real-time employee feedback surveys, goal formation and balanced scorecards, it improves the work lives of people in high-stress industries.

 

  • ProsperStack - Tony Sternberg

    ProsperStack is the drop-in cancellation flow that prevents churn, automatically. Use targeted offers to save customers and capture feedback to make informed product, pricing and remarketing decisions.

 

  • Recreogo - David Rochol

    Recreogo simplifies and standardizes the booking process for consumers looking for outdoor recreational rental equipment from outfitters. It has 3 components: a marketplace connecting consumers with available recreational rental equipment; a “book now” feature enabling outfitters the ability to capture and convert web traffic into paid reservations; and a backend portal tool for outfitters to manage reservations and grow their business.

 

  • See A Star - Mary Tucker

    See A Star is a next generation digital sports marketing platform. We create authentic experiences with live video chats to engage fans and builds unique content for their social media channels. Athletes/Pros can support a charitable cause to create a deeper sense of community through social giving.

 

  • Sparrow Marketing - Braden Ericson

    Sparrow consolidates social media insights through their software to ensure client performance at scale for marketing agencies and freelancers. Sparrow saves time for marketers by helping track progress towards goals for clients, act on personalized recommendations, and simplify white-labeled reports.

 

  • WellRoo - Steph Peters

    WellRoo is an early stage startup dedicated to making parenting easier. Our flagship offering is an engaging and self-guided web program that is designed to teach parents of children with ADHD the basics of behavior modification skills. We are focused on building an engaging solution that removes the barriers to all parents getting the support that they need.

 

  • Your Next Place - Brendan Mooney

    Your Next Place is striving to change the rental finding process. With a focus on empowering and educating the renter, Your Next Place simultaneously provides the tools and knowledge to assist landlords in making informed decisions about their properties. 


  • MathTreks - Andrea Touhey 

    MathTreks develops curious, capable, confident problem-solvers. An intellectual tour guide that supports teenagers in solving complex, applied-math problems, the core service is a 30 minute problem-solving session designed around a personalized, interdisciplinary problem. Learn more.

 

  • MadeDaily - Jon Maichel Thomas 

    Health MadeDaily provides simple, secure, and HIPAA compliant patient intake for healthcare practices. We help patient coordinators move from insecure pdf forms to secure online, mobile-friendly, contactless forms.Online forms save time and keep patients safer. Learn more.

 

  • Pawlytics - Lizz Whitacre 

    Your pets can’t talk, so Pawlytics gives them a voice. Pawlytics creates electronic health records for pets to ensure top quality care across any spectrum of service such as the vet, groomer, boarder, or even the shelter. Learn more.

 

  • parrot.md - Colleen Jensen 

    parrot.md is the only app of its kind allowing credentialed physicians to anonymously trade call assignments, reducing burnout and creating an opportunity for a secondary income source. Learn more.

 

  • LEAH Labs - Wesley Wierson 

    LEAH Labs is curing cancer in dogs. We use gene editing to bring innovative "living therapies" to dogs that has never before been possible. Learn more.

 

  • Dream Girl Subscription Box - Dr. Eboni Bell 

    Dream Girl Box is a Quarterly Subscription Box For Girls With Goals, ages 6-16. By providing a girl's empowerment workbook, inspirational tee shirts and other motivational products, we inspire girls to Dream BIG, helping them to develop their social emotional and leadership skills. BETA Backers 

The Fall Backers application closes next week!

BETA Backers will be held virtually on Wednesday, Sept. 23rd from 1-3 pm via Zoom.

Minnesota based startups that are actively fundraising are invited to apply to participate by submitting a 3-5 minute pre-recorded pitch between now and the application deadline on Thursday, Sept. 3rd. Accepted pitches will be sent to investors who will choose up to four startups to meet with virtually on Sept. 23.
