Each Showcase features the top up-and-coming Minnesota-based startups. At the event, startups are provided with a space to demo their goods & services. Prior to the event, each team is supported with basic demo-training and promotional material to drive enthusiasm within their networks. For the first time, the BETA Cohort teams will be joined by ten startups from Greater Minnesota to participate in the Fall 2019 BETA Showcase. This expansion was enabled by a partnership with[**Great North Labs**](https://greatnorthlabs.com/) to foster connections between the developed metro startup ecosystem and founders across the state. Rob Weber, Managing Partner at Great North Labs, shared that they "are excited to help bring Greater MN into the biggest annual startup event in the state. The exposure from getting in front of 1,000+ attendees, who are all part of the startup ecosystem, is game-changing to an early-stage startup from outside the metro area."  As guests arrive, each person will be given three tokens to vote for their favorite startup(s). The startup with the most tokens by the end of the night will be awarded the Golden iPod. A typical Showcase welcomes over 500 guests from a broad range of industries and interests. Participants include, reporters, investors, potential employees and more. Join us on October 14th, at TCF Bank Stadium, to meet this amazing lineup of Minnesota-based startups.
