"We love how out-of-staters write about Minnesota. Like [the Washington Post reporter](http://www.startribune.com/washington-post-reporter-making-himself-at-home-in-red-lake-falls/419710423/) who called Red Lake County 'the absolute worst place to live in America,' then ended up moving there (here). [The German reporter who lied his pants off about Fergus Falls](https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/27/us/der-spiegel-fergus-falls-minnesota.html). And [the writer for the Thrillist travel site](https://www.thrillist.com/travel/nation/the-great-northern-festival-minnesota) who noted that 'Minnesota suffers the most miserable godforsaken winters in the United States … And yet, respectably, its population of Midwestern nice optimists don’t just suck it up – they throw a huge-ass party.'"
