Tell us the story of how and why you started your company.
We started Achvit as a group of friends with the idea to interact with each other, and to engage in some of the crazy bets we would make against each other. This led into a bigger initiative, and a niche we saw in the social media market that could combat the negative aspects of social media such as data collection on users, as well as mental health issues that can result from extended use of social media. Achvit is now a platform with the mission to get more people connecting in person, doing real things, going on adventures and experiencing their lives off the couch and in the real world.
What's your most recent success or milestone hit?
Our most recent success is officially launching our mobile app on the Apple App Store.
Where do you see your startup in 1 year?
In one year, we hope to obtain funding and to become a vibrant and growing online community with over 40,000 users.
