Applications for both the Spring 2025 BETA Cohort and Spring 2025 BETA Founders in Training programs are open now!
These programs work in concert with each other but focus on two distinct groups:
- Founders with an established business and existing MVP
- Individuals in the early stages of considering to create a company

Spring 2025 BETA Cohort and Founders in Training applications are due by March 5, 2025.
BETA Cohort
The BETA Cohort is a free, non-dilutive accelerator program that puts founders front and center to Minnesota's technology and innovation community. Together, founding teams learn, work, and grow our state's next great businesses.
As a Cohort founder, you'll gain valuable insight on how to grow and scale your company while BETA's community provides access to the resources and relationships required to achieve major milestones.
Cohort Program Events
BETA Cohort participants will engage in several events including BETA Mentor Night, BETA Showcase, and BETA Demo Day.
The BETA Cohort is a good fit if:
- You're a founder with an existing company
- Your company has a proven MVP
- You're able to commit to time required of the program
BETA Founders in Training
Our Founders in Training program is designed to be the launchpad of entrepreneurs-to-be in Minnesota. Founders in Training focuses on individuals who are in the early stages of considering creating a new company (aka there isn’t an actual company… yet).
Throughout the Founders in Training program, participants will learn from subject matter experts in our startup ecosystem alongside the founders in our BETA Cohort.
Please note: The Founders in Training program does not participate in the BETA Cohort events (BETA Showcase, BETA Demo Day, BETA Mentor Night).
The BETA Founders in Training program is a good fit if:
- You’re in the early stages of considering to start your own company
Program Time Commitment
The Spring 2025 BETA Cohort and Founders in Training programs consist of weekly programming on Wednesdays from 10 AM to 4/5 PM (with breaks) from March 26 through June 11. These interactive sessions and workshops will be primarily held in person at the Twin Ignition Keg House in Northeast Minneapolis.
Cohort and Founders in Training participants must be able to attend at least 80% of these sessions in person.
