Henry Amoloja was tired of social apps limiting the creativity and dimensions of photo sharing. Spending last summer in Vietnam, Henry watched as a friend captured a stunning wide-panoramic photo, only to have the quality reduced and the dimensions cut down when he took to social media. Phone screens are small enough as it is, why shrink images even further?
This was Henry’s thinking behind launching Murol, a photo-sharing app that puts the focus on the image, rather than the app, allowing users to fill the screen in its landscape-only format. Murol is about sharing your world, following the mantra “See the Big Picture.”
The app enables users, which surpassed 1,000 in just eight weeks, to share their full-size images across their favorite social networks, including app integration supported by Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Over the next 12 months, Murol looks to be fully-functional across both Apple and Android platforms, growing its consumer base to over 50,000 users.
You can meet Henry and learn more about Murol at the upcoming Beta.MN / Showcase event, Sept. 19 at the Target Commons from 5:30-8pm CT. While ticket numbers are dwindling, you can still secure your spot!
